Position Overview: As a Contract ICT Desktop Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing service desk and in-person support to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of their end user computing devices. You will troubleshoot issues, manage and deploy computing devices, assign licensing and software installations, and troubleshoot services such as printing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities: a. Provide service desk support to users, both remotely and in person, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively. b. Troubleshoot, manage, and deploy end user computing devices including PCs, Macs, mobile phones, desk phones, etc. c. Assign licensing and install software applications according to user requirements and organizational policies. d. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to services such as printing, network connectivity, and other IT peripherals. e. Document support activities, solutions, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and process improvement. f. Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. g. Provide training and guidance to users on IT-related topics and best practices.Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience in providing desktop support and troubleshooting in a professional environment.
  • Strong technical skills in managing and deploying end user computing devices, including familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), hardware components, and software applications.
  • Experience with assigning licensing and software installation in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting services such as printing, network connectivity, and IT peripherals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
